CHONTA CONDORS VIEWPOINT TOUR
Tour Start
At 07:00 am, we pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to start this fascinating tour. We embark on a journey to Chonta, located about 3 hours by car from Cusco, crossing beautiful landscapes of the Andes.
Visit to Killarumiyoc
At 09:30 am, we arrive at the archaeological site of Killarumiyoc, an important Inca site known for its crescent-shaped stone sculpture of Mama Killa and its lunar phase calendar.
Stop at Limatambo and Tarawasi
After the visit to Killarumiyoc, we stop at the village of Limatambo and, if desired, you can visit the archaeological site of Tarawasi (optional).
Hike to the Condor Viewpoint
We travel to the Chonta community, where we start a 1-hour hike to the Chonta Condors Viewpoint. During the walk, enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and mountains.
Condor Watching
At the Chonta Condors Viewpoint, you will witness the impressive sight of Andean condors flying in their natural habitat. The professional guide will provide information about these majestic birds and their behavior.
Return to Chonta and Lunch
After observing the condors, we return to Chonta, where you can enjoy a delicious typical lunch at a local restaurant.
Return to Cusco
After lunch, we begin the journey back to Cusco, with an optional stop to visit archaeological sites or Andean villages along the way.
