Humantay Lake Day Tour

HUMANTAY LAKE TOUR – FULL DAY

Tour Start

Between 4:00 am and 4:30 am, our team will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin this incredible adventure to one of the most impressive destinations in Peru.

Breakfast in Mollepata

After pick-up, we will travel to the picturesque town of Mollepata, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast to prepare us for the hike.

Journey to Soraypampa

After breakfast, we continue to Soraypampa (3,900 meters above sea level). There, we will have time to prepare, organize our gear, and receive instructions before starting the hike.

Hike to Humantay Lake

We will begin the hike towards the majestic Humantay Lake, located at 4,200 meters above sea level. The ascent takes between 1 hour and 30 minutes at a normal pace or 2 hours if you prefer to go slower.
Those who wish may choose to rent a horse to make the journey easier.

Arrival at Humantay Lake

Around 10:30 am, we will arrive at this magical place with turquoise waters surrounded by imposing mountains.
The guide will explain the history, cultural significance, and the role of the Apu Humantay.
We will have 1 hour and 30 minutes to enjoy the scenery, take photographs, walk around the lake, or simply relax.

Descent to Soraypampa

After the visit, we will begin the descent to Soraypampa, which will be quicker than the ascent.

Lunch in Soraypampa

Upon arriving at the campsite, we will enjoy a local lunch with traditional dishes from the region.

Return to Cusco

Finally, at 5:30 pm, we will board our transport to return to Cusco, where the tour will conclude.
