MARAS, MORAY AND SALINERAS TOUR
Tour Start
The day starts with hotel pick-up between 07:30 and 08:00 hrs. From Cusco, we will head towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, enjoying Andean landscapes that blend history and nature.
Chinchero
Our first stop will be the picturesque town of Chinchero, the birthplace of Andean textile art. We will visit an artisan center where ancient techniques of spinning, dyeing, and weaving with natural dyes are preserved, created by local women.
On the Way to Moray
We will continue the journey towards Moray, making a brief stop at the Raqchi viewpoint to admire the Sacred Valley in all its glory. Upon arrival at the archaeological site of Moray, we will explore its circular terraces, used by the Incas as agricultural laboratories to experiment with different microclimates.
Salineras de Maras
We will head towards the famous Salineras de Maras, where over 3,000 salt ponds form a unique and shining landscape. We will learn about how it works and the importance of salt extraction since pre-Columbian times.
Urubamba and Lunch
We will head to Urubamba to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch with local products, surrounded by the tranquility and beauty of the valley.
Ceramics Seminar
We will finish our route with a visit to the prestigious Ceramics Seminar workshop, where we will observe unique decorative pieces handcrafted. Each work combines contemporary art with ancestral symbolism. Afterwards, we will return to Cusco and drop you off at the historic center.
